New Flickr group

Posted on 27 January 2010 by Alfie Goodrich

It was high-time we had our own Japanorama Flickr group, so now we do.

Love it or hate it, Flickr is a great way of seeing other people’s work, sharing your own photos and getting feedback on your work. Sometimes not always the sort of feedback you might want, but that’s the nature of baring your soul and putting your work out into the public arena; you just never know what someone is going to say in response.

But, there is no doubting Flickr’s power as a photo-sharing website and lots of our friends, fans and students are members of Flickr. So we really wanted to have a Japanorama group there where we could collect photos, have chats and basically provide some method of interaction.

The photo pool will be a place from which we can also draw content for this site, and where you could put your work with a view to having it featured online here.

Lively discussion, news of workshops, photos from walks and workshops taken by Flickr members: we hope the group will grow and grow. Already it has a vibrant membership.

If you’re a member of Flickr come along to the group and check it out. If you haven’t discovered Flickr yet, why not take a look. The free version is very good and if you want to go ‘pro’ and buy an account, it’s worth the $25 a year for the storage capacity alone.

See you there…..
