Sakura: the end of days

A few quick scenes from the final act of this year’s cherry-blossom and hanami season.

Lots of shooting recently, and little time to get back home and get stuff up on the web and edited for the various uses my work is getting right now.

But, here are a few scenes from my neighbourhood in Omori. These shots are all on the way to my station and being out at this time of year reminds me that the greatest beauty is often closest to home; you just need to look with the right eyes.

The shots below are all with the D700 and with a tiny bit of tweaking through Capture One… as I had to get them processed on the run this morning, between getting my bag ready, charging batteries, seeing the kids off to school and getting myself breakfasted and showered… before heading off to shoot in Ningyocho with Jared, a great fella in town from the US who is having a private lesson/photo tour with me this morning.

More wabi-sabi later on today….
