Re-visiting a great series of suburban areas in Yokohama.
A couple of times recently I’ve done this walk through from Yamate to Ishikawacho. It starts off in a wonderful shotengai [local shopping street], all be it one which is a bit quiet and somewhat run-down: massive photographic potential. We’ve also done a walk with a model there and you can see that here.
This time the brief was more to capture a feel of the areas along our route which might be suitable for a magazine article. In all truth people on the walk – including myself – got a little carried away with documenting the shabby-chic along the way. So, I’ve adapted the dummy magazine article accordingly. My layouts are towards the bottom of the page.
First let’s have a look at each person’s work. The three galleries below are all drawn from the Flickr sets of Jean Wimmerlin, Julia Mitrofanova-Wimmerlin, Justin Choulochas and Keith Crowley.
