Shinyong Shot With the Epson R-D1

This was taken the other week on the modelling/street/park workshop we did. You can read more about it and see a load of pics by the folk who came out, here….

I didn't really take many pics. Often it's not about me 'swinging my own golf clubs to show the others how to play'. But more about being there to inspire and help people shoot with their own gear. In fact, I shoot with students' gear too… if I can shoot great pics with the gear they have, that pretty much dispels any doubts that 'it's all about the gear'.

But, I did take the Epson rangefinder on this walk and made a few nice shots with it, including this one of Shinyong. This is an interesting spot between Okachimachi and Akihabara, which I must have walked past a dozen times and thought 'be nice to get a model in this location'. This day, hey presto, we had a great model with us. Gonna go back here with her soon and shoot some more. Interesting old parking garage with some cool graffiti.
