In my years in Japan, I have seen cats drinking from the water fountains at the shrines and temples but never a dog.
Yesterday I caught this fella having a lap at the water fountain in Sensoji Temple, Asakusa, Tokyo.

Not easy to do a 'spot something out of the corner of my eye, turn quickly and nail the shot' when one is wielding a 300mm prime lens.
But, I quickly got into a position and got one frame shot-off before he wqs done with drinking…..

Animals are always hard to photograph, because they always move right before if you want to take picture. Taking this with a 300 millimeter lens – that's pretty cool.
