Model photography lessons in Tokyo | I love it when a plan comes together
A friend of mine [William] is in town for a few days and having some time with me to learn a few things. We did a day of shooting on Wednesday withand makeup artist Hiroki. Yesterday, William and I spent some time sorting out his plans for going pro, getting him a website set up, doing some visual literacy studies in the photographic library in Shinagawa.
Today we are back in the studio for a day of shooting with two models and a makeup artist. Very themed work today, which should be a lot of fun.
After Wednesday's shoot we came back to my office and edited and processed up some of the shots into a magazine style piece. Great fun, good results. A really good way to see the shots that we had made: William got to see the choosing process, editing, processing and layout… with me being the 'magazine editor and designer' and him the photographer who, as we so often have to do, has to 'give up' his work to someone else, for them to manipulate into a finished product.
