It’s been a while since I was up north in Japan’s tsunami-hit areas. Last weekend I was there as part of a crew working on a small piece of film for a client whose staff are doing volunteer work there.
Outside of the time we were shooting for the client, I got a chance to shoot a few Instagrams with my iPhone.
Always a sobering experience to be in Tohoku. Especially as the region is where my wife was born and where a large portion of her family still live, in Fukushima.
The shots in this post are from in and around Kesennuma and Ichinoseki.
Instagrams from Tohoku: July 14th and 15th, 2012
