11.09.01

My wife and I were in a hospital in London, for the birth of our first child.

I left the hospital at 4.30pm, got on a bus to go home and get some things for my wife as she was going to be spending the night at the hospital.

I felt like the only person on the bus who wasn't 'in' on the story. I wondered what was going on. What I'd missed. When I got home, I switched on the tv.

You know the rest……

I didn't tell my wife about any of it for two weeks. Our world had changed for a different reason. We had a son.

This is a photo I shot in 1991.

  5. hi, coincidently it is almost same story for me, I came to know the event Next morning here in NEPAL (10 hour ahead of ny time) and I told my wife immediately.

we were at hospital from 9th and had daughter and on 17th Sept 2011.

  6. I was visiting a friend in his shop that day when the news about the attack came on the radio. We were shocked when it became apparent that it was a deliberate attack and not a accident.
It was so hard to believe that anybody would to this on purpose.
And then we were very afraid about what the U.S.A. would do in response…
