Richard Avedon: Darkness and Light (1/9)

Richard Avedon is considered one of the foremost portrait and fashion photographers of the modern generation. His book ‘In The American West‘ was  a substantial influence on my work in the 1980s, when I was at art college in the UK studying photography. 

This video is the first of nine parts, aired in 1995 as part of the American Master series.
