Shichi-go-san 七五三 photo shoot in Enoshima, Japan: Paul and his family
One of my favourite colour shots from the recent shoot I did with my mate Paul and his family.
Shichi-go-san 七五三 means seven-five-three and these are the years that are celebrated in a young child's life here in Japan.
Paul took his family to the island of Enoshima, not far from Tokyo. I met up with them for a few hours and shot some pics of the ceremony at the temple and in the streets of this lovely little town.

Very nice, Alfie. Last year, I shot a family photo session at a Jinja, and they told me that I'm not allowed to shoot there if I'm a pro. I realized later that it was because they had their own photo studio there at the Jinja. You know I just ignored them and did what I had to do anyways saying I was just a family friend, but it was quite unexpected.

Yep, +michael kulyk, that's often the way it goes with weddings as well. Shrines so protective of their income. I always do the same as you… say I am a friend and just get on with it.
