My wife and kids in the snow, Omori, Tokyo

We all ventured out for a little walk this afternoon but the kids came back after a short time. Me and the wife headed off to the shops after that.

For a few hours it really snowed heavily in our area today. Most snow I have seen in central Tokyo for at least ten years.

Good fun.

First time little Charlie had seen such weather.

Not sure he quite knew what to make of it all.

Gear?

Nikon D700
Nikkor 20mm f/3.5 AiS

  7. I think the last time it was this bad was 1998, coincidentally also on coming-of-age day.

  8. great

  9. Great, enjoy it!

  10. Looks like what we are getting in Ottawa, Canada right now :-) . Last week we were hitting -40°C with the wind. Hope your family stays warm!

  11. Thanks +Patrick Léger. It was a very temporary thing here, the snow. North Japan is getting dumped-on daily but we escape most of it here in Tokyo. -40C is no joke. Stay warm.
