    1. I was in the minibus heading back to the airport. I'd remembered the river on our way to the client. So on the way back, as the sun was setting, I got the phone out and readied myself to get a shot. There was a traffic-jam, so the van was stationary long enough to get the shot. Being as I couldn't get out or alter my viewpoint, the railing was in the shot…

    2. I cropped the shot slightly in Snapseed, to exclude the little bit of the pavement/roadway that was at the bottom of the shot: having a gap under the railing was not good. 

    3. Result? A shot where the railing takes up 1/3 of the frame almost precisely. The vertical lines a contrast to the curves and predominantly horizontal nature of the rest of the shot
