For those who think I shoot with 500mm on the street all the time

I suppose I should cease to be amazed at how few people actually read anything on the web before opening their mouths.

But, for those of you who misconstrued the previous post about my being out with a 500mm lens to shoot street [thinking that I don't know how to get physically close]… here's one for you:

Coming of Age Day, 2012.

Shin-yokohama, Japan.

Followed this particular crowd of youngsters for an hour because I knew something was going to kick-off between two of them in particular.

The wait and the watching paid off.

I was there when one threw a punch at the other.

One uses what tool and skill is best for the job and in this case close and wide was the way to go.
