Fashion photography in Tokyo: Mari Hirao in colour

Another shot from our very brief little test shoot yesterday. The light in the Hikarie Building is amazing from around 4.30pm in the summer, streaming in through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows.

Was shooting this to get the light just under the blind flaring straight into the lens. Really helped the summery feeling of the shot.

Next time I will take a cloth with me, to wipe all the hand-prints off of the window! :-)

Great shot, good planning on the light. Summery feeling indeed. Thing I keep saying to myself now before I raise camera to my eye – look for the light. That changes the entire process, and then of course the result. Well executed here Alfie!
