Cones in the rain: Shibuya, Tokyo
I was out shooting with a student the other day and sadly a load of our pictures got corrupted by a bad data link between my CF card-reader and the PC. This one survived, with a few others. Amazing weather that afternoon; thunder, lightning, torrential rain. Great drama.

Cheers. Nice to be back with my Flickr friends. As much as I scrub the lens though, can't seem to get rid of that mark :-)

Great shot - I love the look of the bike in the rain. And I can identify intimately with that feeling of a cold wet crotch...

Great shot (and as an aside, saw one of your shots in a Japan Today article yesterday- well done, sir).
A week ago, I headed up to Hokkaido for 三連休. Was nice to be somewhere it wasn't raining!

Thanks all. Mike; that piece in Japan Today was lifted from Metropolis. Good to see it doing the rounds though.

Sara.. too kind. Thanks everyone for saying things about this shot. It's one I really like from the shots I have taken in the past few weeks. Just kind of captured the essence of the atmosphere of that day for me.

Glad you are enjoying that lens. If someone suggested I live with one lens only for the rest of my life, it would be the 85 1.4, without hesitation.

were is the exif data!,is this at 1.4?/what iso is this?
Alfie Goodrich wrote...
It say's 1.4 underneath the picture already. And less of the exclamation marks :-) I don't take out the EXIF but when I make the JPEGs to put on here it gets taken out and I just dont put it back in. I know the internet can translate polite honest requets into something that sounds a little more abrupt, but a please might not go amiss next time....

It's good to see you back. Btw, you might need to clean your lens, there seems to be a huge target on it :D
