The flautist; 2008 Oeshiki Matsuri, Ikegami, Tokyo
Some superb music at the matsuri last Sunday as well as all the colourful lights, processions and people.

Cheers man. Not an easy night; lots of activity, very mixed light.... quite a few shitty, blurry pics. But some lovely ones too. This is undoubtedly my favourite. Something magical about the light.

this is SICK!!! I didn't know George Takai was a floutist

Scallop; I think you'll find George Takei plays the pink oboe, not the flute. :-)

i would love to be able create a painting with this photo as reference - if that's ok with you?

I would feel a bit of a kill-joy if I were to object to that, segismundoart. By all means, I'd be flattered. If you can find some way of including a route back to the source for people who see the painting, that would be all I would ask. :-)

Yes, I would post it as inspired by your photo with a link to this picture. I would also get in touch with you when it's done so I can send/mail you a signed print.

A wonderful use of light, I wish I could hear them play :-)
