Shuji-san: publicity shoot for a musician
Last week I had a half-day shoot with a musician who needs publicity shots for a concert coming up early next year. I’ll be doing the programme, ticket and poster designs for him too.
This was almost at the end of our shoot, down by the Meguro River in Shinbamba, not far from where both of us live.
I was using the headlights of passing cars to get the light down the wall and the lens-flare. There was very little light otherwise.

It's not bad Eric. You just have to be spot-on with it and the dof is very shallow.

Very nice work, Alfie. The light and shallow depth of field are great... and that 85mm looks really sharp at f/1.4!
