Bad end to someone's day: Iidabashi, Tokyo

Myself and Yuka, one of my photography students, were walking back from Koishikawa Korakuen Park towards Iidabashi Station when we saw all this commotion on the road below the overpass. No one seemed to be seriously injured. Quite a mess though and at rush-hour too.

Three cars involved. We spent a while trying to figure it all out….

Very striking, its pretty disturbing that such an accident can still result in a beautiful photo

I just love how wide shots can change the perspective. I finally broke down and bought the Tokina 11-16 last week. I cant wait for it to get here!

I feel a pang of guilt shooting pics like this but, it's life... and I shoot what happens in front of me. And this was pure theatre. At least no one appeared to be seriously injured.

wow... at least the police did block the road.. then accident happens here. You still can pass by the same road and it create massive traffic jam!!

Ouch... that really doesn't look like fun. Great view, Alfie... love the use of the ultra-wide here.

Chaos comes to Tokyo! But even then it's quite orderly...
