Rooftop fashion shoot with Sayaka; Minami-oi, Tokyo

We got together yesterday with a Polish hair-stylist who has just recently arrived in Japan; Rafal Gaweda. Superb guy, lovely work. Sayaka was modelling on the roof of my flat in Omori. We did a variety of shots here. More coming soon. This was one of my favourites, with Sayaka looking straight into the softbox and away from the camera.

One Nikon SB900 gelled through a softbox at camera left.
Red gelled SB800 on the sign in the background.
White-balance set to 2700 to cool down the sky.
Post-processing: white-balance tweak. Tweak to red and blue channels to perk up Sayaka’s skin, accentuate her lip colour. Slight skin smoothening using Nik’s ‘Dynamic Skin Softener, applied locally by brush.
