Cross-processed Joe
Softbox test again but this time with a little cross-processing for added drama. I have beautiful kids. This is the best shot I think I have ever taken of Joe. The man-to-be is starting to really shine through…..
Nikon D300
Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8G @ 16mm
f/6.3 @ 1/200sec shutter
SB-800 fired through a Lumiquest III softbox with SC-17 sync cable from camera-left. Flash on 1/64

how can you cross process digital?
Alfie Goodrich wrote...
Bobby: basically, with a set of filters that mimic the effects of the various kinds of cross-processing one used to get up to in the dark:
E6 thru C41
C41 thru E6
...all the various film variations, skipping the bleach during E6 etc etc.
15years of darkrooms gave me an idea of what all that stuff looks like and now I use it in the computer.

nikuyakun: How is the John Rain movie. I've red the books and would love to see the movie.
Sorry for the OFF topic comment.

An Talk; I am yet to see the movie but have read all the books in the series at least twice. I love them and am eagerly anticipating Alfie's Book Noir. Sounds right up my alley.

First of all Alfie, I love your inspiring work. Question? How do like the Tokina 11mm-16 F/2.8 lens. Thanks!
Alfie Goodrich wrote...
Great lens, reprosteve: sharp at the edges even at 2.8, if you keep it level then you get practically no distortion even at 11mm. Been very happy with it.
