The Purple of Twilight; Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo, Japan
View this big. It’s 1560pixels large and the big size is available to all.
My last one from my session down at the Rainbow Bridge the other evening. The purple tones of twilight were amazing to the eye and came through even more on this long exposure bracketed set, the longest of which was 30seconds.
We had a great fashion session down here on the Sunday after:

Great shot. Was HDR really necessary at this time? I wonder how it would look without...

Laurent: long exposure has great detail in the rocks, water etc. Short exposure has great detail in the bridge and city int he background. Tokyo is one of those places that often has massive dynamic range; city lights are so bright and other areas are full of shadow. The long exposure brings out the shadows but drenches the highlights. HDR puts detail in all of them.

An extended view at the image offers more to see, like the skyscrapers in the distance. I like the inclusion of a foreground element in the lower left.

Amazing shot. I like the motion of the waves in the foreground with the bridge at a standstill in the back.

I saw the beautiful photo in Water... Oceans, Lakes, Rivers, Creeks!
