Japanese life through British eyes: celebrating and showcasing the best of Japan and the UK
Japanorama.co.uk started back in 2002 simply as a place for photographer Alfie Goodrich to show his photos of Japan. The name being a mix of Japan and panaorama and relevant to his photography work.
This new site has been conceived as a way of him collecting in one place stories, news and information about his twin worlds of the UK and Japan: the style, the landscape, the people, the culture, information and photos to tap into the zeitgeist of each nation.
Why Japan and the UK? - Alfie was born in the UK and lived there for most of his 38 years. Alfie moved to Tokyo in October 2007 and it is now their permanent home.
So, if you are in either Japan or the UK and interested in finding out about one, the other or both, we hope this website is bound to have something of interest for you.
If you have any questions, are interested in advertising with us, have a story or just want to get in touch, please use our contact form.
If you are interested in photography, check out Alfie’s own website at www.alfiegoodrich.com
He also has a large collection of work on Flickr.
